Whilst working for SEGA, Nick Pili, Vanquish Corporation Founder & CEO, was driving force behind a highly ambitious innovative online project called: PLAYSEGA.
PLAYSEGA was an online portal enabling users to play old Skool SEGA Genesis & Saturn games via a web browser, using a Java emulator we created in house. The emulator provided pause and save functions – which the original consoles did not. Other attributes to the portal included:
- The world’s first Sonic The Hedgehog Level Creator
- A custom built PLAYSEGA USB Joypad for VIP Members
- A combination of old Skool SEGA mini games combined with more modern developed games
- My Escape Section – a dedicated area for users to customize their personal PLAYSEGA Page
